Frederick Nauerz

Frederick O. Nauerz, 82, of Stevens, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at the WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Bronx, NY, Fred was a son to the late Otto & Elsie (Weimar) Nauerz and the loving husband of Dolores A. (Jackob) Nauerz until her passing in 2008. Fred was a graduate of Morris High School in Bronx, NY. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953-57 and enjoyed his assignment in Puerto Rico. After his military service, he lived with his family in New Jersey which is where he met Dolores. Fred worked in automobile production for General Motors in Trenton, NJ for 25 years and moved to the Stevens area in 1989. He later worked for the Bachman Co in Ephrata, and in 2005 worked parttime at the Redners Quick Shop. Fred loved hot weather, palm trees, trips to sunny Florida and his dog Scotlyn. He loved pizza, spaghetti, and all meals made of pasta. Fred knew everyone, his outgoing manner and smile quickly turned strangers to friends. Fred is survived by his daughter, Christine Nauerz of Stevens and a brother, Roger Nauerz of NJ. In addition to his wife, Fred was predeceased by his sister Betty Tamn and brother Walter Nauerz. A visitation will be held to celebrate Fred on Sat., Mar. 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens) Pa.
