Galen I. Markley

Remembering Galen with Love... Galen I. Markley, 69, of Ephrata, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at 7:06 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital . Born in Millport, a son of the late Harry E. and Susan K. (Imhoff) Markley, he was the husband of Reba J. (Cammauf) Markley for 23 years. Galen retired from Spring Glen Foods, Ephrata, and had worked for SM Siding, Bird-in-hand. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed camping. Also surviving are daughters, Gayle (Earl) Gehman, Reamstown; Vicky Altenderfer and Georgine (James) May, both of Lititz; Christine (Jack) Nelson, Akron; sons, Michael Lorah, Ephrata; Terry (Vicki) Markley, East Petersburg; Gregory and Dale Lorah, both of Pequea; and Eric Lorah, Ronks; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Gerhart, Reinholds; brothers, Charles Markley, Lititz; Willard Markley, Akron; and Donald Markley, Lancaster. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Lorah; sisters, Thelma Bassler Sarah Hertz; and brothers, Albert Harold. Memorial Service...Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown with Pastor Jeffrey Dunlevy officiating.
