George A. Rutt, Jr.

George A. Rutt, Jr., age 72, formerly of Stevens, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, passed away after a protracted illness on December 23, 2016, in Covenant Towers, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.A son of the late George Alfred and Frances (Burkholder) Rutt, he retired as operations manager of CH Briggs Hardware, Reading. He and his wife of 54 years, Gloria J. (Fry) Rutt, moved to Myrtle Beach in 2008, so he could persue his love of golf, playing several times weekly. George enjoyed gardening, bowling, following the Philadelphia Eagles Phillies and loved animals, having pet dogs his entire life. Also surviving is hisdaughter, Tami, wife of Ben F. Noviello, Fairfax, VA; a grandson, Andrew Noviello, Frederick, MD; a granddaughter, Kelly Noviello, Fairfax, VA; and a sister, Sandy Glass, Wyomissing. Sisters, Shirley Phyllis, predeceased him.George's visitation will be held onSaturday, March 25, 2017, from 10-11 AM in Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with services at 11 AM.
