George E. "Jim" Susa, Sr.

George E. 'Jim' Susa, Sr., age 84, of East Cocalico Township, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died at home on Monday, May 9, 2016. Born in Thompson No. 1, Fayette County, Pennsyvlania, a son of the late George A. and Christina (Burless) Susa, he was married to Sharon M. (Campbell) Susa for 41 years. 'Jim' was a 1949 Redstone Township High School graduate and a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata. He was the formerco-owner and president of Cocalico Biologicals, Inc., Stevens. A supporter of local charities, he was also an avid traveler, enjoyed reading, reminiscing and a good joke. Also surviving is his son, G. Edward, husband of Anne (Pinkerton) Susa, Jr., Monrovia, Maryland; sisters, Jean Gmutza, Filbert, PA; Mary Ann Arnold, Masontown, PA; and a brother, Daniel husband of Shirley Kish, Brook Park, Ohio. Viewings will be on Thursday, May 12, from 6-8 PM, and Friday, May 13, 10-10:30 AM, from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from OMPH Catholic Church, 320 Church Ave., Ephrata, PA 17522, Friday at 11 AM with Fr. John McLoughlin, CSSR, as celebrant. Private entombment in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum, Brier Hill, Fayette County, PA.
