Remembering Geraldine with love... Geraldine A. Maurer, 66, of 260 Meadowlark Drive, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Sunday at 7:40 AM in the Essa Flory Hospice Center, East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, where she was a patient since Christmas. Her death follows a 4 month battle with leukemia. Born in Hegins, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of S. Joseph and Helen I. (Dietrich) Hess, Ephrata. Her husband, Clyde L. Maurer, died March 21, 1995. Geraldine was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Ephrata (Lincoln). She was a graduate of the American Institute of Banking Courses and had been a former Hospice of Lancaster County volunteer. Retiring in 2002, she was employed for 15 years with Ephrata National Bank, last serving in the trust department. She had previously been an assistant vice president in the lending department working out of their Hinkletown Branch. Earlier in her banking career she was the Lincoln Branch manager of the Farmers First Bank from 1967 to 1987. Surviving in addition to her parents are 3 children, Randy B., married to Roberta L. (Simmons) Maurer, Ephrata, PA; Ronald A., married to Cynthia M. (Stoltzfus) Maurer, Lancaster, PA; and Kristie A., married to Randy D. Lawrence, Ephrata, PA; 5 grandchildren and a sister, Linda J., married to Rev. Barry S. Zimmerman, Brownstown, PA. Viewing Service A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM from our funeral home and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The ceremony celebrating Geraldine's life will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM with her pastor, The Reverend John C. Miller, and her brother-in-law, The Reverend Barry S. Zimmerman, officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Contributions...
