Glenn W. Leininger, 73, formerly of Denver, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025. Born in Denver, Glenn was a son of the late Norman I. and Mae B. (Weise) Leininger and the loving husband to Fay L. (Weise) Leininger for 48 years until her passing in 2019.
Glenn grew up on a farm in the Cocalico area. A graduate of Ephrata High School, he was a member of the FFA, class of 1970. Glenn was a skilled machinist at Case New Holland, starting in high school and retiring in 2007 where he worked the lathe and punch press. Married in 1971, Glenn and his wife Fay built their life together in Denver, PA, where they shared the same home for decades. Early on, Glenn grew acres of strawberries, offering a casual pick-your-own experience. He enjoyed planting his own crops, especially pumpkins and tomatoes. He was devoted to family and the home farm, always lending a hand to his father and helping to gather and preserve the harvest. Glenn was a craftsman and loved to tinker, always building and fixing something. He found joy in the outdoors, camping annually in the Seaville New Jersey area and spending winters in Florida. Glenn enjoyed card games of all kinds. He was a former member of St. Paul's E.C. Church and Cocalico Brethren Church. After Fay’s passing, he moved to New Jersey to live with his daughter, Wendy, and her family, where he enjoyed spending time with his only grandchildren. However, he never lost touch with his cherished friends from Lancaster County.
Glenn is survived by daughter Wendy S. (Brent) Dominek of Sicklerville, NJ; two grandchildren, Zachary and Alicia Dominek; and his two brothers, Norman Leininger Jr. (Barb) of Landisville Homes and Stan Leininger (Kathy) of Lancaster. Glenn was predeceased by four siblings, Paul Leininger, Mark Leininger, Richard Leininger, and Esther Bollinger.
