Remembering Anetta Harry Harry H. Lefever, Jr., 76, and Anetta J. Wingenroth Lefever, 79, of 6 Faust Lane, Reamstown, Lancaster County, died as the result of an automobile accident on Friday at 2:58 PM on Route 772 in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County, near Gap, PA. Mr. Lefever was pronounced dead at the scene by Lancaster County Coroner, Barry Walp, D.O. and Mrs. Lefever was flown by helicopter to Brandywine Hospital and Trauma Center, Caln Township, Chester County, where she died later in the day. Harry was born in Conestoga, Lancaster County, a son of the late Harry H. Lefever, Sr. and Edna (Sigman) Lefever. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Reamstown, where he had served as an elder and deacon. He was an army veteran of World War II and was a life member of Post #3376 VFW, Ephrata. Harry was the parts manager for over 30 years at the former International Harvestor Company, Ephrata, later know as Heritage International. He was an avid bowler having been a member of the Ephrata VFW Bowling League at Dutch Lanes, Ephrata, and had bowled a perfect game with the Rocky Springs Bowling League of Lancaster. In earlier years he was know as "Lefty" for being the fastest left-handed pitcher in the former Reamstown Church Softball League where he had pitched a perfect game; no hit/no run. Lefever was a member of Ephrata Lodge #665 Free and Accepted Masons and the Lancaster Lodge of Perfection. In later years he enjoyed ping pong and woodworking, especially known for his decoratively painted pieces. Anetta was born in Reamstown, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Isaac B. And Gertie M. (Frecht) Wingenroth. She was a member and former primary department Sunday school teacher at Salem United Church of Christ, Reamstown. A 1940 graduate of East Cocalico High School, she enjoyed bowling, being a "Cashew" in the Nut League of the Friday Night Dutch Bowl Teams, Ephrata. She also enjoyed playing Pinochle and other card games and dominos. She retired in 1990, after many years as a floor lade with Shirlee Manufacturing, Terre Hill, and the former CB Trimming, Reamstown. They are survived by a daughter, Linda L., married to Samuel E. Weaver, Jr., Reamstown; 2 grandchildren;and a great-granddaughter. Harry is also survived by a sister, Louise, married to Eugene Hufford, and a brother, John, married to Ruth Lefever, both of Brownstown, Lancaster County. Anetta is also survived by a brother, Clyde Wingenroth, Ephrata; and 3 sisters, Mildred I. Wingenroth, Reamstown; Alma G., married to Clarence M. Summers, Lititz; and Patsy, married to Nevin R. McQuate, Denver, PA. Viewing Services... Anetta and Harry's viewing will be held at our funeral home on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral ceremony will be conducted from our parlor on Wednesday morning, November 7, 2001, at 10:00 AM with The Reverend Stephen E. Hollinger and The Reverend Gene Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, East Cocalico Township, PA.Contributions...
