Hazel Price

Hazel Dayne (Gray) Price, age 82, of Mohnton, passed away in her home on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in East Earl, a daughter of the late Samuel D. and Verna M. (Root) Gray, she was the wife of James J. Price for 48 years until his passing in 2009. Hazel worked for the former Pathmark grocery store in Shillington. Hazel enjoyed socializing at the casinos and local bingo halls. She and Jim would go on many trips to Atlantic City to have fun in the casinos for a getaway together. Hazel attended the Glad Tidings Church in Reading for many years. She loved her family and friends who will all miss her dearly. Hazel is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Lonne) Bauman of Sinking Spring, Tracy (Ron) Pfautz of Reinholds, Shelley Dayne (John Mangum) Turner of Mohnton; six grandchildren, Erica Ernst (Eric Hahn), Jamie (Deb) Ranalli, Brittany McCardell, Zachary Weidenhammer, Emily & Dayne Turner; seven great grandchildren; and two siblings, Ella May (Clayton) Martin, & David (Rosie) Gray. Hazel is predeceased by one granddaughter, great grandson, and half-sister. A viewing will be held on Sat., August 26th from 9a.m. to 10a.m. and the service will begin at 10 a.m. at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens). Interment will immediately follow at Cedar Grove Presbyterian Cemetery, East Earl. In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated to ProMedica Hospice, www.promedica.org/giving.
