James H. Risser

Remembering Jim with Love... James H. Risser, 80, Ephrata, died Oct. 22, 2011, in Ephrata Community Hospital . Born in Lancaster , a son of the late Peter M. and Susanna (Hershey) Risser, he was the husband of Nancy (Bishop) Risser for 54 years. Jim was a graduate of Warwick High School and Lancaster Business School . He served with the Air Force in the Korean War. Retiring in 1988, he owned operated the Benny Bishop Chrysler Dealership, Ephrata, for 30 years. Jim was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ; Ephrata Lodge #665 F Rajah Temple ; 50 year member of Lancaster County Shrine Club and Ephrata Rotary Club and was an avid golfer and sports fanatic. Also surviving is a daughter, Ann Elizabeth, wife of Brian Vaughan Beal, Collegeville; grandchildren, Shawn Nolan, Erin Alexandra and Delaney Katherine Beal, all of whom he cherished; and sisters, Ruth Wimble, West Chester ; and Harriet, wife of Wayne Keene, Millersville. Service Information... A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, at 11 AM from Bethany U.C.C., 140 E. Main St . , Ephrata , PA 17522 , with Rev. Stephen Ericson officiating. Private inurnment with military honors will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery , Ephrata. Rather than flowers, contributions to Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center , 625 Community Way , Lancaster , PA 17603 .
