Remembering Jim with Love... James Henry Zong, 72, Stevens, formerly of Zellwood, Florida, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 2:30 PM in Reading Hospital Medical Center, West Reading, following a courageous battle with various health problems. Born in Clay Township, he was a son of Kathryn (Haas) Zong, Stevens, and the late James E. Zong. Jim was a 1954 graduate of Ephrata High School, a Navy veteran and of the protestant faith. A sports enthusiast, especially watching football and enjoyed boating; he was known for his great sense of humor and being a generous, creative thinker. He was an inventor (floral sleeve machine), innovator and facilitator of floral products with R D Sleeves LLC, Apopka, Florida. Surviving in addition to his mother is a sister, Patricia A. Wolf, Stevens; nephew, Brad Wolf; niece, Lori Patterson; grand-nieces and nephews, Ava, Taylor, Drew and Cole. Memorial Service...A memorial celebration of Jim's life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 3:00 PM from Peace United Church of Christ, 37 East Swartzville Road, Denver, PA 17517, with The Rev. William E. Hoch officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Flowers are welcome or contributions in Jim's memory may be sent to Peace UCC at the address above. Messages Received... My condolences go to the family of James Henry Zong. I met "Zong" (that was what everyone seemed to call him) through my brother Joe and our friends Tim South and Richard Riley. Everytime I saw Zong at the sleeve plant in Rockledge he always had a smile and an interest in what us boys were up to that day. I was amazed at the folding machines and how he invented them and built them from scratch. He was proud to show them off to me. He was a good man and will be missed. Please know I'll be saying some extra prayers for Zong and of course for you his family. Tom Bartosek, Rockledge FL
