Janice Arctura DeLong-Diehm

Janice Arctura DeLong-Diehm, 96, of Ephrata, passed away on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at the Maple Farm Nursing Facility in Akron. Born in Muncy, Janice was a loving daughter of the late Charles A. & Mary (Hassinger) DeLong.

Janice graduated from Lebanon Valley College and received her certifications as a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse until she got married and started her family, then they became her whole world. Along with focusing on raising her family, Janice was a lifetime member of the formerly known United Church of Christ in Reading and volunteered in many organizations like the Pink Ladies and the Navy Officer’s Wives Club. In her free time, Janice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sitting down with a good book. Her peaceful and loving presence will be deeply missed.

Janice is survived by three children, Nancy Ann Diehm Royer, William Charles Diehm IV; Thomas Aubrey Diehm; three grandchildren, Kyle M. D. Royer, John H. D. Royer, Janice Anne Diehm; and one great-grandchild, Owen Matthew Webb Royer. Along with her parents, Janice is predeceased by three siblings, Susanna Jane Forry, Thomas Stover DeLong, Sara Louise Clemence.

Services will be private to the family. Janice’s final resting place will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
