Jay Dean Acton

Jay Dean Acton, 60, of Reinholds, passed away late Thursday night, September 21, 2023, in the loving presence of his parents after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Indiana, Dean was a son to Gary R. & Elmetra F. (Stewart) Beder and the late Wilber Acton. Dean was a graduate of Terre Haute North High School, class of 1980 and attended college at Indiana State. He worked for RR Donnelly & Son and then moved to the Reinholds area about 22 years ago. Dean enjoyed his work at Walmart in Ephrata where he was the manager for 15 years. Bowling was one of Dean's favorite pastimes, he often bowled in leagues with his mom at Bowlero. He loved his sporty red Hyundai which he kept meticulously clean. Dean was well organized and thorough in all he did. His friendly presence and companionship will be deeply missed. In addition to his mother and stepfather, Dean is survived by a half-sister, Annettra Michael of Rockville, IN; a brother, Victor Acton, of Columbus IN; and nieces & nephews.
