Joel E. "Sonny" Lindberg

Joel E. 'Sonny' Lindberg, age 72, of Ephrata Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Mt. Joy Hospice Center, Rapho Township, Lancaster County. Born in Farmersville, he was a son of Lydia (Auker) Lindberg, Ephrata, and the late Joel N. Lindberg. He graduate in 1962 from Ephrata High School and was a member of The Worship Center, Leola. 'Sonny' was a co-owner of JL Trucking, Denver, and worked for HK Group, Reading. Joel will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Dorothy I. (Mohler) Lindberg; children, Joelane E. Lindberg, Sturgis, South Dakota; Robin A., married to Pam Lindberg, Ft. Knox, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kaige Ashtin; sisters, Grace, married to Clement Stauffer, Thelma, married to Mark Stauffer, both Ephrata; and a brother, E. Ray, married to Angie (Pandolfino) Lindberg, Shirleysburg. His first wife, Kathryn H. (Boose) Lindberg, died May 13, 1990. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 10, at 10 AM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Ephrata. The viewings will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and Thursday 9:30 to 10 AM.
