John H. Heil

Remembering John with Love... John H. Heil, 77, of 33 Ray Drive , Denver , Lancaster County , formerly of Mohnton, Berks County , died Monday, January 16, 2006, at 3:15 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County. His death followed a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born August 21, 1928, in East Cocalico Township , Lancaster County , he was a son of the late Clarence G. and Alice W. (Stuber) Heil, and was the husband of Miriam L. (Kramer) Heil, for 57 years. A member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Mohnton, he enjoyed camping, deer hunting and woodworking. John worked over 30 years for the former Kurtz Brothers, Ephrata, and was grounds keeper at Rosedale Grove, Laureldale, for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Barbara L., wife of Larry E. Sweigart, Stevens, PA; 2 granddaughters, Suzanne M., wife of Scott Gordon, Deleware; and Lynette L., wife of David Lutz, Ephrata, PA; 2 great-grandchildren, Joshua A. and Kirstin M. Lutz; and an uncle, Samuel Heil, Akron, PA. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Marie, and a sister, Betty Stauffer. Viewing Funeral Service... A viewing will be held on Saturday morning, January 21, 2006, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM from our parlors with Pastor James F. Price officiating.
