John Michael Homan

Remembering "Mike" with Love... John Michael Homan, 70, of New Holland, died April 29, 2009, in Hershey Medical Center . Born in Terre Hill, a son of the late Robert M. and Mildred (Fetter) Homan, he was a Terre Hill High School graduate, received his B. A. at Lebanon Valley College and his Masters Degree at Temple University . "Mike" retired as a Major after 20 years in the Air Force and taught music and computer science at Holy Name High School , Reading. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, New Holland, and 1st vice president of the Reading Choral Society. Surviving are a sister, Ruth Holton, Wyomissing; and a brother, Donald F. Homan, New Holland. Memorial Mass...A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St. , New Holland, PA 17557. Private inurnment in Terre Hill Cemetery . There will be no viewing. The family requests that rather than flowers, contributions be made to his church (address above) or Reading Choral Society, Goggle Works Suite 529, 210 Washington St. , Reading , PA 19601-4040 .
