John Pfautz

John R. Pfautz, 72, of Conestoga View Nursing & Rehab, Lancaster, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Tues., April 28, 2020. Born in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Clyde R. Sr. & Anna Mary (Hoover) Pfautz. John worked at High Concrete in Denver for many years. He found great joy in simple pleasures such as spending time with his sons at Hershey Park, going out to eat, and a friendly conversation. He enjoyed fish aquariums and collected water fountains. John loved candy treats to satisfy his sweet tooth. He was always quick with a smile, a joke, and a good belly laugh. John is survived by his two sons, Scott E. Pfautz (Natissa) of Downgintown & Jason L. Pfautz of Stevens; four sisters, Thelma I. Weaver, Anna Mary Gonzalez (Joseph), Pauline K. Ludwig (Robert), & Arlene F. Hartranft (Jimmie); & a brother, Clyde R. Pfautz, Jr. (Bett Ann). He was predeceased by two brothers, E. Eugene Pfautz & Larry R. Pfautz. Due to current public health circumstances, services are private with entombment in Memory Gardens, Ephrata, Pa. John's sons would like to thank the nurses and staff of Conestoga View for the loving care provided for their dad.
