John R. Duncan

John R. Duncan, age 61, of Bowmansville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, at 1:45 AM in Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, PA. Born in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Ira M. and Alice M. (Brode) Duncan. A 1971 Johnstown Central High School graduate, he worked at Williams Metal Finishing, Sinking Spring, PA. John was a member of Adamstown Rod & Gun Club, enjoyed gardening and loved baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates. His wife, Joan M. (Pavalko) Duncan, died Dec. 15, 2012, and his son, Russell J. Duncan, died March 11, 2007. Surviving is a twin brother, James R. (Doris M.) Duncan, Sidman, PA; and sisters, Roberta Zipfel, Cleveland, OH; Marjorie Gilmore, Johnstown, PA; and Janet Duncan, Allentown, PA. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 15, 2014,at 1:00 PM in Bowmansville Union Cemetery with The Reverend Timothy Craven officiating.
