Joseph Valenti

April 5, 1945 — November 22, 2021

Joseph V. Valenti, 76, of Denver, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Bristol, Pa, Joseph was a son of the late Joseph & Rose (Deon) Valenti and the devoted husband of 41-years to Pamela S. (Moyer) Valenti, until her recent passing in August. Joseph moved to Levittown when he was 9-years old. He was a graduate of the former Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1963. Joseph was a veteran, he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a cook for various restaurants until opening his own, debuting as the owner and operator of the Township House restaurant in Newtown, Pa in 1973. Joseph met his wife, Pamela, at the restaurant and they married in 1980. The Township House became a mainstay in the community, a place where all were welcomed and served with both food and friendship. Joseph was very active in the community as a business owner and volunteer; he was a member of the Newtown Rotary Club. In 2006, Joseph and Pamela retired from the restaurant and moved to Denver, Pa. They enjoyed the country living and acreage to raise mini horses and donkeys, a hair lamb, chickens, and ducks. The special relationships they built with their neighbors and local Amish were important to them. Joseph enjoyed antiquing and displaying his large collection of old Griswold Cast Iron pots and pans. Most of all, he loved spending time with his granddaughters. Joseph is survived by a son, Joseph R. (Amy) of Audubon, NJ; two granddaughters, Rose Luella Valenti and Olivia Grace Valenti; a brother, Anthony Valenti; and step siblings, Ronald Offredo and Phyllis Kotz. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his stepmother, Sarah (Offredo) Valenti and stepbrother, Russell Offredo. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Dec. 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.
