Joyce E. Alberte

Joyce E. Alberte, 84, of Reinholds, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late William F. Alberte, who passed away September 7, 1989. Joyce was born in Lancaster, PA on November 4, 1935, daughter of the late Theodore and Marguerite (Fry) Beamesderfer. She grew up in Ephrata, PA and had resided at her home in Reinholds, since 1957. A homemaker most of her life, Joyce also worked part-time in the bakery at Weaver Markets in Adamstown for 25 years. Joyce loved spending time at the mountains and enjoyed hunting. Most of all, she loved taking care of her pet cats and being with her family. Surviving are three children: Susan G. Numbers, wife of C. Ray Numbers of Lititz, PA, William M. Alberte, husband of Karen Alberte, of Middlebury Center, PA, and Sandra E. Kramer, wife of Stephen Kramer of Lititz, PA; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Fry. Funeral services officiated by the Reverend Phil Walck will be held at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA 17522 on Friday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. Friends will be received before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Place of interment will be Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata, PA.
