Remembering "June" with Love... Juanita Pearl "June" Haller, 92, of 190 Old Mill Road, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 8 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital where she was a patient since December 24th. Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Roland H. and Pearl (Shimp) Garver. Her husband, Eugene C. Haller, died September 20, 1966. June was a member of the Ephrata Church of the Brethren. A 1930 graduate of Ephrata High School, she was employed during World War II as an inspector at Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing. She also managed the Overlook Swimming Pool, Lancaster, 1966-67. The Ephrata Recreation Center, Academy Drive, Ephrata, was dedicated in June's honor for her year's of service as a full-time volunteer, charter membership, chairmanship of the planning committee, administrative assistant 1951-1992, and being a former president and secretary of the board of directors. She also organized and hosted the longtime travel program trips for the center. June also supervised the Ephrata Golden Years Club of the Ephrata Recreation Center since 1960. She was a founder and charter member of The Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley, Ephrata; former secretary and charter member of The Ephrata War Memorial Association, a member of the Cloister Associates (a support group for the Ephrata Cloister) and a member of the Ephrata Woman's Club. Surviving is a daughter, Diana J., married to J. Bruce Hufford, Columbus, Mississippi; a son, Larry Eugene Haller, Albrightsville, Carbon County, PA; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Viewing Service At June's request, all services will be held privately by the family. Burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, aside of her husband.
