Kathleen D. Lesher, age 64, of Spring Township, Sinking Spring, Berks County, Pennsylvania, died June 5, 2015, at 4:58 am in Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading, Berks County, with her husband, Jesse, by her side. Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of Mahlon L. and June D. (Bolig) Fink, of Cumru Township, Berks County, and was married to Jesse A. Lesher for 42 years. Known at "The Herb Lady", Kathy owned & operated Deer Creek Farm, and was well known for her workshops and lectures. She loved attending the Landis Valley Herb & Garden Faire. A 1968 Governor Mifflin High School and 1972 Mansfield University graduate, later receiving her master"s degree, Kathy taught 5th & 6th grades at Gouglersville Elementary School and at the intermediate unit of Governor Mifflin School District; and was director of the Wyomissing UCC Pre-School. An accomplished vocalist, she taught voice lessons and played piano. Also surviving are her daughters, Jessica E., wife of Timothy Levan, Wernersville; and Kristina D. Lesher, companion of Luke Stine, Sinking Spring; grandson, Tanner Jesse Levan; and her brother, Jeffrey L., husband of Kathleen (Maurer) Fink, Birdsboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 11 AM from Good Funeral Home , Reamstown, with Rev. Dr. Alfred K. Schwerdt officiating. Burial in Wyomissing Cemetery, Gouglersville, Berks County. Viewings will be held Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 10-11 AM.
