Remembering Kathryn... Kathryn E. Sweigart, 92, formerly of Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Sunday afternoon at 3:58 PM in the emergency room of Reading Hospital Medical Center, West Reading, where she was take from Denver Nursing Home, Stevens, Lancaster County. She resided at the nursing home since May 1999. Born in Schaefferstown, Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late William and Clara (Weiss) Gerhart. Her husband, Lloyd D. Sweigart, died June 2, 1978. She was a member of the Reamstown Church of God, and the Cocalico Senior Citizens Group, Reinholds. She enjoyed gardening, camping, cooking and crocheting. Kathryn is survived by a son, Harold L., married to Anna Marie (Feyl) Sweigart, Reinholds, PA; 6 daughters, Helen A. Roth, Adamstown, PA; Esther C. Burkhart, Reamstown, PA; Arlene F. Fuller, Reinholds, PA; Erma M., wife of Kenneth A. Parsons, Stevens, PA; Linda L., wife of Allan R. Echternacht, Denver, PA; and Karen C., married to Elvin L. Weber, Denver, PA; 19 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Carrie Hilton, Colonial Lodge, Denver, PA; and Clara, married to Irvin Showalter, Ephrata, PA; and 3 brothers, Leon, married to Betty (Wenrich) Gerhart, Stevens, PA; Harvey, married to Janet (Ohmacht) Gerhart, Wernersville, PA; and Walter Sweigart, New Cumberland, PA. She was preceded in death by a son, Barry Sweigart, in 1985. Viewing Service... Kathryn's viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 PM from our funeral parlor. The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2002, at 1:00 PM from our establishment with burial to follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring, PA.
