Katie (Westley) Woods Kochel, 94, formerly of Reinholds, resident of The Gardens at Stevens, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020. Born in Brecknock Township, Berks county, Katie was a daughter of the late Isaac L. & Cora E. (Seifrit) Westley. She was the loving wife to Lawrence R. Woods, Sr. until his passing in 1978 and to Oliver C. Kochel who passed in 2005. From 1958 to '75, Katie worked at Boehringer's drive-in in Adamstown and for 15 years she was a billing administrator for Hartings Bakery in Bowmansville. An avid walker, Katie enjoyed many miles on-foot with the Penn Dutch Pacers of Lancaster and the Early Bird Walkers of WellSpan. She was a member of the Alleghenyville Grange #2065, the Golden Age Club of Bowmansville, and the former Immanuel E.C. Church in Adamstown. Most of all, Katie loved her family and created fun memories that transcends three generations. Katie is survived by her three children, Lawrence R., husband of Linda (Hassler) Woods Jr. of Denver, Linda W., wife of John E. 'Rick' Huber of Lititz, and step-son, David T., husband of Elaine (Kilhefner) Woods of Adamstown; five grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Woods, Melissa (Brian) Keck, and step-grandchildren, Sheila (Robert) Hinkley, Heidi (Scott) Schukraft, and David Woods; nine great grandchildren, Hunter, Jack, Samantha, Sarah, and step-great grandchildren, Evan, Benjamin, Colin, Alaina, and Andrew. Katie was predeceased by her three sisters, Ada M. Peters, Edna Kachel, & Beatrice Kochel; and three brothers James Westley, Earl Westley, and Harvey Westley. A viewing will be held Friday, November 27th from 10 to 11 a.m. in Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34-38 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown, Pa 17567 where the celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m., officiated by Reverend Sandra Gideon. Interment is private, Memory Gardens, Ephrata.
