Kevin E. Hartman, 57, of Denver, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital after a long brave battle with Huntingtons Disease. Born in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Augustus G. Hartman and Helen (Hollinger) Walker. Together for nearly 40 years, Kevin was the loving husband of Karen L. (Redcay) Hartman. Kevin had a strong work ethic which he instilled in his sons. He had worked in manufacturing at Cinderella knitting mills and F&M Hat in Denver for several years. He was a graduate of Weymouth High School in Massachusetts, class of 1980, then returned to his hometown roots of Ephrata. As his sons were growing up, he enjoyed family vacations and camping at Frontier Town in Ocean City, MD. He was a man who was always on-the-go, he just never stopped, though he would be willing to take a beer break now and then. Kevin had a unique relationship with each of his sons and a very special bond with his sweet granddaughter. In addition to his wife and mother, Kevin is survived by two sons, Kevin Hartman, Jr, husband of Mary, of Bowmansville; Keith Hartman of Palmyra and a granddaughter, Riley Mae Hartman. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 21st from 3 to 4 pm and Celebration of Life service to begin at 4 pm in the Lighthouse Assembly of God, 105 Earland Drive, New Holland, 17557, officiated by Reverend Stephen Ritchey. Arrangements by Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc. In memory of Kevin, contributions should be sent to Huntingtons Disease Society of America, Eastern PA Chapter, http://easternpa.hdsa.org/, then click donate.
