Remembering Laura with Love... Laura Betty Louise Zerbe, age 87, of Claymont, Delaware, formerly of Reading, Berks Count, PA, New Castle, DE, and Naples, Florida, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DE. Born in Reading , PA , a daughter of the late Clyde L. and Vera M. (Fischer) James; her husband, Alvin R. Zerbe, died January 23, 1993. A Reading High School graduate she worked at several banks. Surviving are daughters, Eileen D. Zerbe, Claymont , DE ; and Nancy L. Zerbe, wife of Peter Materna, Metuchen, NJ; a son, Robert C., husband of Barbara Zerbe, New Castle, DE; 7 grandchildren; and sisters, Alberta Schock, Naples, FL; and Ann Konnick, Reading, PA. A sister, Vera Eckelman, predeceased her. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Arden Court, Comfort Keepers and Compassionate Care Hospice for their loving attention to Laura. Service Information... Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 12 Noon from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown , Lancaster County, PA, with Pastor Tim Garman officiating. Burial will take place in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
