Leon L. Cole Jr.

Leon L. Cole Jr., 87, of Lititz, PA passed away on Monday, February 24th, 2025, at the UPMC Lititz Hospital. Born in Syracuse, NY, Leon was a son to the late Leon & Lena (Redmore) Cole. He was also the loving husband of Marylou Cole for 56 years until her passing in 2016.

Leon was a graduate of North High School in Syracuse, NY. He worked for AT&T in Quality Control for nearly 30 years until his retirement. Leon coached for the Special Olympics Berks County and Lancaster County for over 30 years and earned recognition in the Special Olympic Hall of Fame.

Leon is survived by four children, Tammy (Everett Jr.) Miles of Central Square NY, Steven (Cynthia) Cole of Evans GA, Terry (Rodney) Miles of Phoenix NY, Kenneth (Faye) Cole of Lititz PA; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Richard Cole & sister, Donna Corso. Leon was predeceased by a sister, Mary Harrington.

A graveside service will take place at a later date in NY.
