Leon Wanner, 88, of Ephrata, PA passed away at WellSpan York Hospital on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Leon was born in Schoeneck, PA to Clayton S. Wanner and Eva (George) Wanner on March 5, 1932. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy A. Forry; one son: Ronald Lee Wanner, husband of Mia Doe, of East Petersburg, PA; a grandson: Brendon Wanner of Austin, TX; and two brothers: Larry Wanner of Luther Acres, Lititz, PA and Bruce Wanner, husband of Mildred, of Ephrata, PA. In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn, in 1990, and by two half-brothers, Harold and Eugene Wanner. Leon was a longtime resident of Ephrata, PA, where he worked for many years as a material handler in the cutting department at the former Walter W. Moyer Company and was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Leon enjoyed playing cards and games, watching cowboy movies and TV shows, and reading books. Memorial services will be announced at a future date and are under the care of Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, Ephrata, PA.
