LeRoy E. Mumma, 82, of Denver, PA, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. He was the loving husband of Ruth (Weaver) Mumma and son of the late Reuben and Ella (Witman) Mumma. LeRoy was born in Ephrata, PA and was a lifetime resident of Northern Lancaster County. He retired from the Bollman Hat Company of Adamstown, PA and operated antique stands at Renningers Antique Market and the 272 Antiques Co-op for many years. LeRoy was an accomplished and well-known Bluegrass fiddle player. He toured the Eastern U.S., Europe, and Canada and was a member of the Bluegrass group Bob Paisley - The Southern Grass. LeRoy had vast technical knowledge of string instruments and served as a judge at fiddle playing contests in Berks County. LeRoy also enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Ruth, LeRoy is survived by his daughter, Joyce Kuhn of Ephrata, PA; two daughters-by-marriage: Donna, wife of Rodney Trusty of Sinking Spring, PA and Dawn Smith of Denver, PA; four grandchildren: Lori, Amanda, Austin, and Samantha; one great-granddaughter, Ashley; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, LeRoy was preceded in death by his first wife, Julia A. (Royer) Mumma; his son, Russell Mumma; and four brothers: Richard, Kenneth, Ronald, and Reuben. Friends will be received at Peace United Church of Christ, 37 East Swartzville Rd., Denver, PA 17517 on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 10-11 a.m. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery, Ephrata, PA. 0
