Lila Darle (Musser) Hackman 94 formerly of Ephrata died Friday morning in the Fairmount Homes where she has resided since February, 2019. She was the widow of Richard H. Hackman, who died August 2, 2021. They were married May 14, 1960. Mrs. Hackman was born in Manheim on October 3, 1929 daughter of the late C. Walton Musser and Leona M. (Natress) Musser Langenburg. Also, predeceased by a stepfather, Albert P. Langenburg and stepmother, Edna Mae (Hoak) Musser
Her children, Brent K Hackman, Teal R. Hackman, and Taryn R. (Hackman) Firestone all predeceased their mother.
Surviving is a granddaughter, Heather Beth Hackman
Mrs. Hackman had a sister, Yvonne Graham, two brothers; Robert and Stanley Musser. Also, a step brother, Albert T. Langenburg.
She graduated from Manheim High School in 1947.
Lila was employed as a stenographer in several offices in Manheim until moving to Ephrata in 1960. She retired in 1994 from Eitnier Memorials Design Studio, Inc. Ephrata
She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, church choir, Hope U.M. Church Women, and a Sunday school pianist. She served on the administrative church council for two years. Formerly, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ephrata where she was a member of the choir for over twenty years, a Sunday school teacher, and pianist.
Lila’s hobby was collecting porcelain dolls, birds and Pomeranian dogs.
Funeral services from Hope United Methodist Church, 3474 Rothsville Road, Ephrata on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Dorn officiating. Internment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday 10:30 until time of service.
