Linda Lou Echternacht

Linda Lou Echternacht, age 68, of East Cocalico Township, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in Reading Hospital Medical Center, West Reading. Born in Reinholds, a daughter of the late Lloyd D. and Kathryn E. (Gerhart) Sweigart, she was the widow of Allan R. 'Skip' Echternacht, who died May 10, 2008. Linda worked for Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown, and had her own cleaning business. She cherished time with family friends, shopping, cooking and giving to others. Even in death she was a Gift of Life Donor. Linda will be remembered for her jovial spirit and exuberant personality. Surviving are her sons, Anthony L., husband of Michele Echternacht, Lebanon; Alan, husband of Tamra Echternacht, Lethbridge, Canada; George, husband of Virginia Echternacht, Ephrata; daughters, Mindy L. Echternacht,and her friend, Shawn West, Denver; Lucinda, wife of Jay Mattu, Adamstown; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Arlene Fuller, Reinholds; Erma Parsons, Sinking Spring; Karen, wife of Elvin Weber, Denver; sister-in-law, Loraine Steingraber, Denver. She was also predeceased by a son, Troy Crowther his wife, Isabella; grandson, George Echternacht; sisters, Helen Roth Esther Smith; brothers, Harold Barry Sweigart. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017, at 12 Noon from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with The Reverend Melissa Burkhart officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. The viewing will be Friday from 10 AM to Noon.
