Loretta A. Kakas, age 60, of Brecknock Township, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Monday, October 13, 2014, at 4:18 PM in M. S. Hershey Medical Center, Derry Township, Dauphin County, PA. Born in Bristol, Bucks County, PA, a daughter of the late Arthur Di Emidio and Agnes (Lahey) Di Emidio Nieves, she was married to Dennis R. Kakas for 34 years. A member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata, PA, she was an outgoing person and enjoyed painting ceramics. Loretta was employed by Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, as a care provider and also worked at Ephrata Community Hospital in housekeeping. Also surviving are children, Phillip M. (Jessica) Kakas, Blakesley, PA; and Jennifer S. Cook, Denver; granddaughter, Andreanna Kakas; brother, Arthur Di Emidio, Bristol; and sisters, Lena Erb, Denver; Charlotte Johnson, Kathy Nieves, Terri Torres, & Tina Wilson, all of Bristol. Friends and family are invited to attend Loretta's Memorial Christian Prayer Service from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown, on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11 AM. Private inurnment will take place in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Ephrata.
