Lyda Mae Moyer

Lyda Mae Moyer, age 75, formerly of Denver Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 6:20 AM in Conestoga View, Lancaster, PA. Born in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Howard G. and Lyda Mae (Thompson) Beck, her husband John E. Moyer, died August 5, 1988. She was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver, and worked at Hope Hosiery Mills, Adamstown and Denver. Lyda Mae enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, dancing, fishing and camping. Surviving are her daughters, Diane L., wife of Ernest J. Steffy, East Earl; Deborah L., wife of Keith A. Craley, Reinholds; Deanna L. Moyer, and Dawn L. Brendle, both of Denver; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Beck & Edith M. Newman, both Denver; and brothers, William H. (Dorothy) Beck, Denver; & Harry R. (Deb) Beck, Mohnton. Siblings, Howard "Buster" Beck & Fern Gangaway, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 11 AM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with her pastors, The Revs. Nancy & Peter Schwabe-Fry, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Ephrata. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
