Mae I. Lied, age 91, formerly of Adamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at 1:20 AM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, PA. Born in Schuylkill Haven, PA, a daughter of the late Earl and Celia (Reber) Wildermuth, her husband, Robert Lied, died in 1957, and her 40 year companion, Robert Slabach, died in 1999. She was a faithful over 65 year member of St. Paul"s Lutheran Church, Adamstown, where she sang in the choir many years. Mae belonged to and was one of the oldest members of the Adamstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Known for her excellent cooking & baking, she loving to share her food with others. Mae retired from Cinderella Knitting Mills, Denver, where she had 35 years perfect attendance. She had a generous heart and was a good friend to many people. Surviving is her brother, Carl Wildermuth; and cousin, Dorie Reber, both of Schuylkill Haven; Niece, Jane (Slabach), married to Albert Blough, Lititz; grand-nieces, Rebecca Olson & Sarah, married to Andrew Snyder, both of Lititz; nephew, Dale Dissinger, Akron; great-grandniece, Catherine; and great-grandnephews, Griffin and her close friend, Dorothy Huber, Denver Health & Rehabilitation Center, Stevens. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at 11 AM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with her pastor, The Rev. Sandra R. Gideon, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown. The viewing will be Thursday 10-11 AM.
