Magdalene Wenrich

Magdalene Wenrich, 90, resident of Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Inc., formerly of Mohnton, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. Born in Ephrata, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jacob & Magdalena (Wenger) Stauffer and the loving wife to Donald Wenrich who passed in October of 2020. Magdalene loved crocheting and crafts and being involved with the Cocalico Christian Women's Organization. Magdalene graduated from Preston Maternity Hospital in Philadelphia in 1958 and enjoyed being an LPN at Ephrata Hospital and also at Maple Farms. She last worked at Tyson Foods in New Holland, Pennsylvania and retired from Tyson Foods in 1996. Magdalene is survived by 3 stepchildren, Donald E. Wenrich of Denver, PA, Donna Stankiewicz (Chris) of Fairbanks, AK and Judy Wenrich of Lebanon, PA; five step-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Martha Mattis of Denver, PA, and Mahlon Stauffer of Ephrata, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, Magdalene is predeceased by her brother Ivan Stauffer of Ephrata, PA and William Stauffer of Ephrata, PA Her final resting place will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ephrata, PA.
