Margaret F. Kauffman

Remembering Margaret with Love... Margaret F. Kauffman, aged 82, of Denver , died peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, April 9, 2010, in Ephrata Community Hospital . Born in Sheridan , Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late Paul R. and Sarah (Foulk) Bingaman. Her husband, Paul S. Kauffman, died November 22, 1986. A 1945 Millcreek Township High School , Lebanon County, and Reading Business Institute graduate, she assisted her late husband with his masonry business and worked at various textile mills in the area. A member of Wiest Memorial United Methodist Church, Schoeneck, 20 year volunteer at Ephrata Community Hospital, she also was a member, former chaplain and flag bearer of the Order of Eastern Star, Ephrata Chapter. Margaret instilled in her cherished family the importance of education. She was also a crossword puzzle and bingo enthusiast. Surviving are sons, Bruce L. (Bonnie Bowers) Kauffman; and James M. Kauffman, both of Denver ; Paul D. (Lorraine Sweigart) Kauffman, Glen Mills; daughters, Susan K. (Robert W.) Suit, Stevens; and Sara J. (Robert B) Sellers, Drumore; grandchildren, Brent, Amanda, Sarah, Beth, Andrew and Heather; great-grandson, Tristan; sister, Eleanor Hartranft, Newmanstown; and brothers, Paul Bingaman, Lebanon; and Dorsey Bingaman, Millersville. Viewings Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 11:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with The Rev. Joel R. Hainley officiating. Burial in Memory Gardens Memorial Park , East Cocalico Township . Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service Thursday. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, physical therapists and chaplains of Ephrata Community Hospital for their exceptional care.
