Marie A. Haidys

Marie A. Haidys, 96, of Ephrata, formerly of Wayne County, Michigan, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Halfway, MI, Marie was a daughter of the late Ray and Caroline (McKeough) Baker and the loving wife to Bernard Haidys for over 50 years until his passing in 2001.

Marie deeply loved her family. Her faith and Catholic traditions always gave her hope and enjoyment. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and for many years crocheted beautiful crafts and blankets.

Marie is survived by four children, Russel Haidys (Sarah) of Clarksville, TN, Linda Madison (Al) of Ephrata, Patricia Bielskis (Dennis) of New Hudson, MI, and Brian Haidys (Denine) of Westland, MI; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Williams.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was predeceased by a son, Gerald Haidys; and four siblings, June, Raymond, Gerald, and Betty.

Services will be held in Westland, MI. Marie’s final resting place is Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Southfield, MI.
