Marvin G. Fitterling, 91, of Ephrata, formerly of Denver, passed away Thurs., June 6, 2019 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. He was the husband of the late Kathryn (Glass) Fitterling and a son to the late Elmer & Minnie (Good) Fitterling. Marvin was a Marine Corps veteran who proudly served in WWII. He worked at Harting's Bakery in Bowmansville for 29 years. Marvin was a member of Peace UCC Church for over 50 years and served on Church Council. He was involved with Reinholds VFW and served his community as a member of the Adamstown Lions Club where he was a Melvin Jones Award recipient. He was an avid card player and enjoyed boardgames and gospel music. Marvin is survived by three children, Dale Fitterling of Denver; Vicki (Gary) Welsch of Houston, TX; & Karen F. (Art) Pannebecker of Denver; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, & nine great-great grandchildren. He is predeceased by five siblings, Eleanor Hatt, Harry Fitterling, Earl Fitterling, Arlene Burkholder, & Lillian Zaun. Viewings will be held Wed., June 12th, 6-8 p.m. at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, 34-38 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown, Pa 17567 and Thrus., June 13th, 10-11 a.m. at Peace UCC Church, 37 E Swartzville Rd, Denver, PA 17517 where the service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mellinger's Cemetery, Schoeneck.
