Mary Schlouch

Mary Jane Schlouch, 93, resident of Zerbe Retirement Community in Narvon, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Born in Adamstown, she was the daughter of the late Martin L. & Elsie Mae (Salabach) Beavens and the loving wife of over 50 years to Paul A. Schlouch until his passing in 2000. Mary Jane grew up in Gouglersville, she always loved country living. She was a lifetime member of Robeson Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plowville. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens each year. Family was most important to Mary Jane. Her strength as a household matriarch was matched with her loving heart as she raised her two girls. She loved her grandchildren dearly and had a special relationship with each of them. Mary Jane is survived by two daughters, Patsy E. Nolt (Richard W.) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and Ruth M. Reed of Narvon; five grandchildren, Richard Nolt, Jr., Kevin Nolt, Pamela Dunn, Daphnnie Toland, & Paula Leis; and five great grandchildren, Paige Nolt, Zoey Nolt, Austin Reed, Rhiannen Leis, & Caylee Toland. She was predeceased by a grandchild, Dana A. Reed, Jr.; and a brother Roger Beavens; and son in-law, Dana A. Reed. Services are private. Her final resting place is Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to Caring Hospice, 400 Commerce Dr, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
