Marylyn Dobson

Marylyn Dobson, 83, of Denver, formerly of Mohnton, passed away peacefully Sunday June 12, 2022, in the home of her niece. Born in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Sarah (Lightcap) Houck. Marylyn is survived by her son, Edmond Lee Dobson of Denver, her grandson Jeromy Dobson and his family, her identical twin sister Elizabeth (Houck) Miller, her brother Harvey Houck, Jr., her sister Ida Mae (Houck) Papoutsis as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dobson Sr. and their son, Richard Dobson, Jr., as well as by her longtime companion, Paul Fox, her sister Sally Shober and her brother Edmond Houck. Marylyn was a mainstay for over 38 years as a waitress at Zinn's Diner. Outside of work, she loved traveling with her twin sister with highlights being trips to Germany and Brazil in addition to many trips to family in Florida and Virginia. She will always be remembered for her love of her family and for adding fun to all the family gatherings. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday June 17th at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens), Pa. Visitation will begin at 5:30 pm with a Life Celebration at 6:00pm.
