Maxine D. Long, 68, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at ManorCare Health Services, Lancaster. She grew up in the Conestoga Twp. area and was a daughter of the late Robert & Ruth (Hess) Graver. Max was a graduate of Penn Manor High School, class of 1969. In her youth she was active and enjoyed going to the gym to exercise. She worked at Raubs Supply after graduating from high school. She changed employment and found a fantastic family of co-workers at the Thomas Somerville Company in Lancaster. Max had a strong love for dogs. She would commonly be seen around her development or at the Lancaster dog park taking walks. Holidays, birthdays, and special occasions were always cherished times with her family. Max's quiet, kind, and gracious manner will forever be remembered. She is survived by a sister, Joanne Saylor (married to Mark Saylor) of Denver; nephew Justin Walzl (married to Michelle Walzl) of Ephrata; and great niece & nephew, Paige & Brandon. Memorial contributions in Maxine's name can be made to the Humane League of Lancaster Co., 2195 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster, PA 17602. A celebration of Life will be held privately with her family, friends, and co-workers.
