Remembering Mike with Love... Michael F. Clouser, 54, of Ephrata, died Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 12:45 PM in the Mt. Joy Hospice Center following a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. Born in Washington, D.C., a son of Carolyn D. (Gates) Shaw, Lottsburg, VA, and the late William F. Clouser, Jr., he shared 30 years of marriage with Jackie (Sitts) Clouser. Mike worked 27 years for Sungard, Malvern, a computer software company, where he helped develop and implement systems used by colleges and universities worldwide. He received a US patent for a software invention of database reporting, and was proud to receive the 2005 "Emerald Award" for customer satisfaction. Always involved in his children's activities, he coached softball, baseball and bowling. His Warwick High School bowling team honored him as 2007-08 Coach of the Year, where his legacy will continue with a scholarship fund in his name. He was a former vice-president of the Ephrata Lion's Club and the BINGO caller at the annual Ephrata Farm Show. Mike's other passions included golfing, sci-fi and bowling. He achieved a dream in 2005 by joining the Sr. Pro-Bowlers Tour where he competed in many tournaments in the northeast region, having advanced to the quarter finals against his idol, Mark Roth. Also surviving are his daughter, Kelley M. Clouser, and son, Christopher M. Clouser, both of Ephrata; step-father, Reginald Shaw; sister, Katheryn Daker, and brothers, Neale, Charles and John, all of Virginia. Viewing Funeral Service...
