Michael a. Kowalski, 70, of Denver, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at WellSpan Ephrata Hospital. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a son to the late Francis J. & Margaret G. (Yano) Kowalski. Michael moved to the Denver area over 30-years ago. He was a teacher for the New Jersey Department of Corrections where he taught general curriculum to help inmates earn their GED. It was a long commute for him each day, but he loved his job and he loved living in Denver. Michael enjoyed baseball, he was a referee for many years, and he was a NY Yankees fan. He was a longtime member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Church in Shillington. Michael is survived by three siblings, Margaret J. "Peg" Kowalski of Mercerville, NJ, Thomas G. (Joanne) Kowalski of Medford, NJ, & John J. "Jack" (Toni) Kowalski of Robbinsville, NJ; & nieces & nephews, Matthew (Courtney) Kowalski, Alexa Kowalski, Steven Kowalski, Kristen Kowalski, & Michael Kowalski. He was predeceased by his brother, Francis J. Kowalski, II. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, Pa 17604. A funeral mass will be arranged by his family in New Jersey at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., Reamstown, Pa.
