Remembering Mildred Gonzalez... Mildred K. Gonzalez, 65, of 546 Reading Road, East Earl, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 8:05 AM in the Reading Hospital Medical Center, West Reading, Berks County, where she was a patient for the past month. Born in Manheim, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther (Kreider) Stauffer, and was the wife of Reverend Jose A. Gonzalez for 44 years on August 31, 2001. She was a member, Sunday school teacher and wife of the pastor of Luz Verdadera Mennonite Church, Reading. Mildred was a graduate of Lancaster Mennonite High School. She enjoyed sewing and glass painting, especially painting floral scenes. She was last employed by the former Terre Ann Manufacturing, Terre Hill, Lancaster County. Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Lucy F., married to Raimundo Mercado, Plainfield, CT; 4 sons, A. Ray, married to Emily (Rolon) Gonzalez, Denver, PA; Jose R., married to Evelyn (Acevedo) Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Denver, PA; David, married to Linda (Negron) Gonzalez, Stevens, PA; and Danny, married to Amy (Landis) Gonzalez, East Earl, PA; 10 Grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Glenn, married to Arlene Stauffer, Elizabethtown, PA; Elam, married to Doris Stauffer, Plain City, OH; and Elvin Stauffer, Tower City, PA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Stauffer. Viewing Funeral... Mildred's viewing will be held from our funeral parlor on Friday, March 22, 2002, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2002, at 10:00 AM from The Reamstown Church of God, 57 East Church Street, Reamstown, PA, with Pastor Arthur T. Karick, Pastor Joel R. Hainley and Pastor Jose A. Santiago officiating. Burial will take place in Bowmansville Mennonite Cemetery, Brecknock Township, PA.
