Paul E. Kring

Paul E. Kring, age 91, of East Cocalico Township, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, formerly of Mohnton, Berks County, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 2:23 PM in the Hospice Community Care -Mt. Joy Hospice Center, Rapho Township. Born in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, a son of the late Alvin K. and Mamie (Kissinger) Kring, his wife, Shirley A. (Hartz) Kring, died January 22, 2014. A member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, he also sang in the church choir. Paul was an estimator for 38 years with Northeastern Lumber Co., Reading. He was a World War II Navy veteran (Seaman 2nd Class), member of the Reinholds VFW, charter-life member of the Adamstown VFW, and enjoyed gardening woodworking. Surviving: sons, Jeffery D. Kring, Mohnton; Joel A., married to Linn (Enoch) Kring, Wernersville; Jamie P., married to Cheryl (Dirks) Kring, Leesport; grandchildren; Laura Kring, Jason Kring, Stephanie Weaver, Darrin Weaver, Rochelle Allgyer Derrick Lush; great-grandson, Lincoln Lush; and sisters, Beatrice Hassler, Barbara, married to Bob Getz, Mary, married to Jim Stewart, all Denver; Shirley, married to Fred Leathery, Ephrata. A sister, Betty Harting Buckwalter, predeceased him. A memorial celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 29, at 6 PM from Peace United Church of Christ, 37 East Swartzville Road, Denver, PA 17517. The family will receive friends following the service. Private inurnment will be held in Allegheny Union Cemetery, Alleghenyville.
