Paul J. Steffy, 74, of Ephrata, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at the WellSpan York Hospital. Born in Binghamton, NY, Paul was a son of the late John & Ada (Warren) Steffy and the loving husband to Mary J. (Smith) Steffy for 25 years. Paul was proud to have served his country, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran. For several years, he was a truck driver until moving to Lancaster County where he began working for the Bollman Hat Company in Adamstown. He later took a machine operator position with Dorma, now Dormakaba in Reamstown, and worked there for 14 years. Paul enjoyed computer games and working on computers, he even took a class to learn computer repair. He also enjoyed bowling on leagues at the former Colonial Hills in Sinking Spring. Most of all, Paul enjoyed the simple day-to-day with his wife at home. Paul and Mary took care of one another, Paul cared deeply for Mary and his devotion to her wellbeing was evident. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Harrington, wife of Jay of Lebanon and stepson, Donald Rutt of Lancaster. Paul was predeceased by stepson, Brian Rutt. Military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Wed., May 31st at 10 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens) to depart promptly at 9a.m., traveling in procession to the cemetery services.
