Phyllis Stiefel

Remembering Phyllis with Love... Phyllis C. Stiefel, 77, Ephrata, died June 29, 2009, in Ephrata Community Hospital . Born in Lancaster, a daughter of the late William and Netta ( Harlem ) Canter, she was the wife of Herbert R. Stiefel for 54 years. A 1950 graduate of McCaskey High School , Lancaster , she loved taking cruises and spending time with her grandchildren. Phyllis was of the Jewish Faith. She had worked years ago at Armstrong Cork, Lancaster, and later assisted her husband in the operation of The Main Theater, Ephrata, until 1990. Also surviving is a son, Michael P. (Laura McMillan) Stiefel, Rheems; a daughter, Sandra S. (James H., III) Brown, Ephrata; and grandchildren, Jory, Mika, Hutton and Kris. Private Service... Private services will be held by the family.
