Rae Irene Kachel

Remembering Rae Irene with Love... Rae Irene Kachel, 60, Adamstown, died at home July 7, 2009. Born in West Reading , a daughter of the late Raymond F. and Irene E. (Wanner) Mertz, she would have celebrated 31 years of marriage to Paul H. Kachel on July 8th. A 1966 Ephrata High School graduate, she was employed by Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown; Mt. Bethany Company, Reamstown; and last by WalMart, Ephrata. A member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, she was a past president of the Adamstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a life member of Scotland School, Franklin County, enjoyed gardening, was an Elvis Presley fan and loved her cat, "Spot". Also surviving are daughters, Roxanne I. Tobias, Adamstown; and Denise G. (Leslie) Spang, Newmanstown; sons, Matthew S. Cammauf, Pensacola, FL; and Allen Kachel, Mountaintop; grandchildren, Lena Crespo, Michael Joshua Tobias, Raymond Cammauf, Charles Spang, and Eric Alisson Kachel; great-grandchildren, Alexander Kyle and Brionna Rae Crespo; sisters, Jo-ann (Merle) Snader, Manheim; and Linda (Larry) Ruth, Lititz; and a brother, Edwin Mertz, Ephrata. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be Friday, July 10, 2009, at 10 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown with The Rev. William E. Hoch officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery , Adamstown. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
