Remembering "Randy" with Love... Randall "Randy" Shober, age 67, of Ephrata, Lancaster County, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, in Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Reinholds, Lancaster County PA, a son of the late George and Ada (Fritz) Shober, he was the husband of Mary A. (Randler) Shober for 37 years. An army aviation mechanic during the Vietnam War, Randy was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, PA. He was a supervisor of railroad construction with Bethlehem Steel and then Pohl Corporation, Reading, PA. A loving father and grandfather, he was a member of the Cocalico Sportsman Association. Also surviving are daughters, Tammy S., wife of Andrew I. Graybill, Reno, NV ; Heidi, wife of J.D. Diskin, Philadelphia ; and Michelle L., wife of Stephen Hornberger, Ephrata; grandchildren, Hailee, Austin, Blake, Jackson Dylan; sisters, Faye Gable, Patricia Adair and Debra Redpath; and brothers, Ronald, Larry and Gary Shober. He was predeceased by brothers, George Clifford. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2011, at 11 AM from Peace United Church of Christ, 37 E. Swartzville Road, Denver , PA 17517 , with The Reverend William E. Hoch officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery , Sinking Spring, PA. A viewing will be held Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown, and prior to the church service. Rather than flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way , Lancaster , PA 17603 , or American Lung Association, 101 Good Drive , Lancaster , PA 17601 .
