Ray P. Bollinger

Ray P. Bollinger, 91, of Stevens, PA, passed away at home on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Born in Clay Township, Ray was the loving husband of the late G. Geraldine (Newcomer) Bollinger and son of the late Abram E. and Mae B. (Palm) Bollinger. Ray worked as a self-employed dairy farmer. He also enjoyed doing custom combine harvesting for local farmers and was a member of the Ephrata Area Young Farmers. A longtime member of the Durlach-Mt.Airy Fire Company, Ray served as Chief for 29 years. Ray was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Ephrata, PA. Surviving are four children: Brenda, wife of Gary Landis of Lititz, PA, Ruth, wife of Kenneth Getz of Ephrata, PA, Jim Bollinger, husband of Lisa, of Stevens, PA, and John Bollinger, husband of Grace, of Denver, PA; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Elam Bollinger, husband of Irene, of Manheim, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Ray was preceded in death by a son, Ray Daniel Bollinger, and a sister, Arlene P. Good. Viewings will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, 1331 West Main St. Ephrata, PA, 17522 on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville, PA. Services are under the care of Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, Ephrata, PA.
