Rev. Lamar L. Zimmerman

Remembering LaMar with Love... Rev. LaMar L. Zimmerman, 72, of Ephrata, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, at 9:50 PM from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Ephrata Township , at Royer and Meadow Valley Roads. Born in East Earl Township , a son of the late Rev. Daniel W. and Sadie G. (Lied) Zimmerman, he was the husband of Mary Ann (Huyard) Zimmerman for 48 years. Pastor of Stevens United Zion Church Old Country Church of Schoeneck, he was a former pastor of Stone Hill Evangelical Christian Church, Denver . He conducted Christian services at various area nursing homes and monthly devotional services for Cocalico Sr. Center , Reinholds. LaMar had also worked at Weaver's Store, Fivepointville, and Messer Brothers, Terre Hill. Also surviving is a daughter, Dorcas A. Zimmerman, at home; an uncle, William (Dorothy Flemish) Lied, Denver ; and numerous cousins. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008, at 10:00 AM from Hahnstown United Zion Church , Glenwood Drive , Ephrata , PA 17522 , with The Rev. Leon L. Eberly, The Rev. Carl L. Eberly and The Rev. Donald G. Moyer officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. Viewings will be held Thursday, October 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, and at the church Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
